Still Time Bruce Springsteen Fans...and Other Stuff

Other stuff going on so far this week include the sad end to the one time promising career of singer Amy Winehouse, who was found dead in her London home back on Saturday (July 23).



The Seattle Mariners of Major League Baseball's American League (AL) have now lost their last 16 games into a row going into tonight's action (July 26).  For sure it is the team's longest losing streak ever in their 34 year existance...the AL record for consecutive losses belongs to the Baltimore Orioles, who lost 21 in a row back in 1988...the modern day Major League baseball record for futility is 23 games in a row, set by the 1961 Philadelphia Phillies!



Some interesting summer TV so far on HBO...of the three shows I watched regularly that are into brand new original seasons now...I am really enjoying True Blood...cannot watch Curb Your Enthusiasm anymore and still not sure about the final season of Entourage, which started this past Sunday...I have invested time into the other seasons of this show...last season was a dissapointment...but I think I'll give this season a try!
