Toronto Blue Jays' Fan Pass-Introduced in 2012

THIS BLOG ENTRY REFERS TO THE 2012 TORONTO BLUE JAYS FAN PASS-NO INFORMATION YET ON THE 2013 PASS

The 2012 version of the Blue Jays Fan Pass introduced assigned seating!

Seating was limited to specific sections (along the 1st/3rd base sides and the respective outfields) and starting from row 6 going back

You did not have to go to the box office any more on game day...the pass was like a seasons' ticket...you had the same seats all season and can show up to the stadium anytime before the game starts...or during or after too!

For 2012, the cost was $99.00/ticket (taxes included) for 80 games (excluding the home opener which you will need to buy at regular prices)

The assigned seating process was an attempt at "paperless ticketing"---the pass was swiped at the gate...this was a measure to prevent scalpers from getting a hand on these seats...there is no actual physical ticket any more.

Here were some of the general rules
  • Each pass provided access to an assigned seat in specific sections of  500-level seating
  • Passes were swiped by a ticket taker at the Gate for redemption where a locater slip with your seat locations was printed for you.
  • Each pass could only be swiped/redeemed once per game.
  • A valid pass could be swiped as soon as the Gates opened through to the end of the game.
  • The pass must be present for redemption and included your account name, account number and seat location affiliated with each pass
