All the following has happened in the Toronto sporting world in the past 24 hours:
- Toronto Maple Leafs won a game Thursday evening (against Anaheim Ducks)
- Toronto Blue Jays traded an inconsistent but notable player, outfielder Vernon Wells, to the Anaheim Angels (no Anaheim conspiracies here). In return they received catcher Mike Napoli & outfielder Juan Rivera
- It has been confirmed that TSN (Canadian Cable TV Sports Network) will be starting a nationwide radio network later this year with the 1050 AM dial position becoming the flagship station of the network. This radio frequency was considered "heritage" in Toronto (former home of 1050 CHUM, at one time the biggest rock station in Canada) before being relegated to simulcasting the audio of a sister local cable news channel!
