The video footage below was taken from the Oakland A's coverage of a live baseball game in Arlington, Texas between the Texas Rangers and the A's last night (July 7, 2011).
The announcers were aware that a man in the outfield stands fell down into the bullpen area while trying to retrieve a foul ball thrown up to him by Texas Rangers outfielder Josh Hamilton. What they were not aware of is how serious a situation this turned out to be. They continued on, as you will hear and see in this video as if nothing serious had occurred. And so did the game!
The man was actually talking when paramedics reached him after the tumble where apparently he landed head first. Sometime later, the man did die of his injuries. Very tragic and weird, especially since it appeared that the injury was not something life threatening.
